Welcome to Mangrove, a groundbreaking living system born from a deeply personal journey to reimagine how we work, think, and thrive.

Frustrated by traditional tools and systems that actively constrain and frustrate rather than enable those of us who don’t think or work in straight lines and folders, Mangrove emerged as an experimental, AI-supported cognitive operating system designed specifically for neurodivergent and non-linear thinkers, embracing their unique strengths like rapid ideation and tangential thinking.

It began with a core reframing: what if we considered ADHD not through the lens of deficit and disorder, but approached it as a design challenge? What if, rather than pathologising the individual and, at best, “accommodating” them into existing systems, we went back to first principles, and designed systems and tools that met them exactly where they were?

Mangrove is powered by human-AI collaboration, where AI acts as a true thinking partner, sensing, absorbing, and processing ideas - in their fullest or most fragmented states - to reduce cognitive load and enhance creative flow. This ongoing dialogue allows for rapid prototyping and iterative development, shaping everything from personalised AI agents to organisational frameworks.

Underneath it all, the system is informed by profound concepts from physics and mathematics, such as quantum coherence, entanglement, commutative diagrams and self-organising systems, influencing how ideas connect, transform, and generate new insights without rigid, linear constraints.

It invites - indeed, requires - the input of qualia: the rich, subjective textures of experience that are often ignored by standard linear models. These are the felt, intuitive, hard-to-measure aspects of life and decision-making. By centering them, the system helps users develop a kind of internal coherence they may never have experienced before. From that alignment, more efficient work and clearer outputs emerge naturally - not as imposed demands, but as byproducts of a deeply aligned system..

This unique blend of personal experience, advanced AI, and deep scientific principles allows Mangrove to develop scalable solutions for areas like:

This recursive structure ensures that every piece of tangential exploration, ideation or learning - even perceived failures - becomes valuable "compost" data for new growth, fostering continuous evolution and resilience.

The structure for Mangrove the business echoes that of its users’ OS architecture, the emphasis on “discovery, not design” (a phrase borrowed from author Sean McClure, whose work has been a great support to Mangrove’s evolution) underpin our design process throughout all our work, provide the backbone to our frameworks. Exploration and articulation of self-similarity across scale and domain is a fundamental principle that enables users to unlock universal learning, develop sustainable, lifelong internal coherence and work in ways that feel truly natural, joyful - and, we believe, are protective against burnout
